A large round mirror with a frame made from vintage driftnet corks.
The corks used on this mirror frame came from Boreray Island in the outer Hebrides, this style of float is becoming increasingly rare, these date back to the 1940's. A string of fifty five corks circles the edge of the mirror, each is slightly different in shape colour and texture and show the scars of many voyages on board the inshore fishing boats that used them.
